Evelyn Dance Sneed

Evelyn Dance Sneed, wife of the late Walter D. (Giles) Sneed and daughter of the late  Frank W. Dance and Janie Allen Dance of Halifax, passed away Sunday, July 22 at  Sentara Woodview where she had been a resident for the past 13 years. Mrs. Sneed was  born July 22, 1920 in Halifax County where she resided most of her life. For many years  she was the manager of the local Hallmark store and was also a day care provider to   numerous children in her home.     Mrs. Sneed is preceded in death by her twin brother Frank E. Dance of South Boston,   and sister Janye Powell of Athens, GA. She leaves behind two children,   Sandra Murphy of Murrell’s Inlet, SC and Wanda Ulsaker (Chris) of Wilmington, DE, two  sisters, Aurelia Lacy of Blacksburg and Marion Henderson of Cluster Springs, her   grandchildren Kelley Russo(Sam) Hudson Oaks, TX, Shannon Scoville(Brian) Richmond,   Sean Ulsaker(Melissa) Warren, NJ, Grace DeSeta(EJ) Charleston, SC and great  grandchildren Mackenzie, Madelyn, Sophia, Elle, Dylan, Mason, Ava, and Tripp.    Services for Mrs. Sneed will be graveside at Halifax Memorial Gardens on Friday, July 27th at 11:00 AM. The family would like to extend their appreciation tot he staff of Magnolia Trail, Sentara Woodview for their many years of kindness; and service.
