Alan Auld

Raymond Allen Auld of Vernon Hill, VA passed away July 9, 2018 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.  He was born in Wasco, CA on October 20, 1943 and was 74 years of age. He was the son of the late Winston Charles Auld and the late Martha Alice Woolard Auld. He was married to Nancy Louise Phillips Auld who survives.   He was of the Baptist faith, retired Director of Public Works for the Town of South Boston, VA; he worked 45 years in public service. In 1972-1981 for the city of Yuba City, CA, and 1981-1995 for the City of Fairfield, CA.  He was an avid horseman, riding the rodeo circuit in his younger years, following his love of horses, he was a member of the Person County Saddle Club, the Franklinton Saddle Club and the CCWHA. He dedicated many long hours alongside his granddaughter, Jessica Auld, and other youth in the arena and other areas where needed.  He graduated from Yuba College in Marysville, CA.
