Roy Linwood Long, Sr.

Mr. Roy Linwood Long, Sr. of Vernon Hill, VA passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born November 29, 1929 in Person Co., NC and was 88 years old. He was the son of the late Taft Long and the late Louise Harper Long Blackstock.   He was a member of the Providence Presbyterian Church and retired U.S. Air Force veteran after 21 years of service. He also was a member of the Kerns Masonic Lodge in Crystal Hill, VA.   Mr. Roy Linwood Long, Sr. is survived by: His Wife Annie Lloyd Long of Vernon Hill, VA Four Sons Roy L. “Nick” Long, Jr. and wife Lisa of Virgilina Dean Richard Long and wife Gaye of Halifax, VA Woody Long and wife Melinda of Cluster Springs, VA Steve Long and wife Gillain of Fayetteville, NC Thirteen Grandchildren Four Great Grandchildren ***Preceded in death by*** One son, Ronald Evan Long One brother, Kenneth Earl Long   Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Providence Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Randy Holmes officiating.
