Frances Harmon Savarese of Buffalo Junction, VA passed away peacefully from this life into the eternal life on her 99th birthday, June 19, 2018. Due to failing health, she lived for the past three years in Wilmington, NC but always stayed devoted to her friends in South Boston, Clarksville and near her home on beautiful “Buggs Island” Lake dear to her heart. Granny Fanny” as she liked to be called lived a very full life and her family is grateful for the many years they had with her. She treasured her very large family. Before retirement, she worked for J.P. Stevens. She loved the lake and her little boat, water skiing on a single slalom ski until the age of 94. She enjoyed travel while her health allowed and was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in South Boston. As her eyesight failed, she asked every week for the bulletin from the church to be read to her so she could stay connected.
