Ruby Barksdale Shelton

Ruby Barksdale Shelton of South Boston, VA passed away March 16, 2018. She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on June 28, 1927 and was 90 years of age. She was the daughter of the late James Russell Barksdale and the late Lucy Talbott Barksdale. She was married to the late Morris Shelton.   She was a member of Winns Creek Baptist Church.   Ruby Barksdale Shelton is survived by: Her Daughter Nancy Shelton Palmer and husband Daniel of Midlothian Her Son Winfred P. Shelton and wife Vickie of Scottsburg Four Grandchildren James Walter Shelton Jenifer Shelton Jones Zachary Reeves Palmer Andrew Franklin Palmer Three Great-grandchildren Mackenzie Paige Shelton, Kennedy Lynn Jones and Simon Franklin Jones, III   ***Preceded in death by*** One Brother James Russell Barksdale, Jr.   Funeral services will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Warfield officiating.
