Violet Anderson Lester

Mrs. Violet Anderson Lester of Altavista, VA passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Autumn Care. She was born September 29, 1922 in Halifax County, VA and was 95 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Anderson and the late Bessie Wright Anderson and was married to the late Frank H. Lester.   She was a member of First Baptist Church of Republican Grove.   Mrs. Violet Anderson Lester is survived by: Two Sisters Glennie A. Wade of Long Island, VA Janice A. Wright and husband Ben of Rustburg, VA A number of nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by*** Three sisters, Mildred A. Saunders, Josie A. Guill and Geneva A. Overby Three brothers, Elmer Anderson, Tom Anderson and Cam Anderson   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove with the Rev. Shelton Miles and the Rev. Wyatt Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of Glennie A.
