Brian Thomas Short

Mr. Brian Thomas Short of Nathalie, VA passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on November 8, 1982 and was 35 years old.  He was the son of Donna Rai Williams and Jerry Thomas Short.  He was an avid hunter and was in the construction trade. Survivors include: His mother Donna Rai Williams of Roxboro and friend Bradley Hudson of Halifax His father Jerry Thomas Short of Nathalie Step-mother Pam Vernon of Nathalie His son Jax Averett Newbill of Roxboro His girlfriend Sarah Snead of Clover His maternal grandparents Muriel Williams of Virgilina and Roy D. Willams of Oxford, NC His paternal grandmother Annie D. Short of Nathalie Aunts Deena Siegla and husband Tim of Wedowee, AL Carolyn Riddle of Virgilina Teresa Martin and husband Lee of Halifax Audrey Short and friend Terri of Nathalie Phyllis Lindley and husband Rusty of South Boston Cathy Spangler and husband Frankie of South Boston Ann jones and husband Willie of Halifax Uncles David Williams of Virgilina Frank Short and wife Shirley of Halifax Kelly Short of Halifax Numerous Cousins Preceded in death by a sister, Bridget Renee Short  paternal grandfather, Russell Short, and two uncles, Wesley Williams and Dale Williams. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at South Boston Church of God at 2:00 PM with Rev. T. Wayne Daniels and Rev. Doug Bellew officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at the church of one hour prior to the service.
