Nannie Lucille Moore

Nannie Lucille Womack Moore of South Boston, VA passed away February 1, 2018.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on November 3, 1923 and was 94 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Richard C. Womack and the late Annie Barksdale Womack. Mrs. Moore was a lifelong member of Asbury United Methodist Church and enjoyed working for many years at Leggett Department Store in South Boston.   She was predeceased by her first husband Harold Walker Moore and most recent Lewis Albert Chaney, also two sisters: Mary Louise Womack and Thelma Gracie Long. Three brothers; Wilbert Crawley Womack, Raymond Womack and Thomas Cepheus Womack.   Survivors include a brother Robert J. Womack and wife Harriett of Vernon Hill, VA. Three nieces; Phyllis Long Davis, Brenda Rice and Debbie J. Mattox. Three nephews; William Thomas Womack, Woodrow W. Long II, Richard B. Long and many others who loved and knew Lucille.   Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Brown officiating.
