Betty Pierce Clay

Betty Pierce Clay of Eden, NC and formerly of Nathalie, VA passed away January 9, 2018.  She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on May 16, 1940 and was 77 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Wooding Pierce and Ida Motley Pierce. She was married to the late James Henry Clay.   She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Republican Grove Baptist.   Betty Pierce Clay is survived by:One GrandsonChristopher Dale Clay and wife of Joyce of Eden, NC One Great GrandsonJayden Christopher Clay of Eden, NC   ***Preceded in death by*** One SonTony Dale ClayBrothers Willie Pierce, Donald Edward Pierce, Winford Merritt Pierce, James Leon Pierce, Thomas Edison Pierce, Roscoe Pierce, and Ace Pierce, and sisters, Margaret Pierce Pence, Judy Pierce Francis, and Edna Pierce Mason.   Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Republican Grove with the Rev. Jerry Stanfield officiating. Burial to follow in the  church cemetery.
