Mrs. Virginia Dixon Crews of South Boston, VA passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Sentara Woodview.  She was born in Halifax County, VA September 25, 1921 and was 96 years old.  She was the daughter of the late James john Dixon and the late Willie Frances Landrum Dixon and was married to the late Albert Lacy Crews Sr.  She along with her husband were founding members of Second Baptist Church.  She was a compassionate and loving mother and friend and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Survivors include: Two sons David E. Crews and Wayne I. Crews and wife Fran, both of South Boston One sister Joyce Powell of Danville One brother Harry Dixon and wife Rachel of South Boston Eight grandchildren and Ten great-grandchildren Preceded in death by: Two sons, A. Lacy Crews Jr. and Jimmy R. Crews One daughter, Joan C. Hall One granddaughter, one great granddaughter, five brothers, and one sister A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to give memorials should consider the Second Baptist Church, 1402 Watkins Avenue, South Boston, VA 24592 or a charity of your choice.
