Donald James Hurda

Donald James Hurda of Halifax, VA passed away January 4, 2018.  He was born in Minneapolis,  MN on January 5, 1940 and was 78 years of age. He was the son of the late James Hurda and the late Rosalia Sprosty Hurda. He was married to the late Shirley Irene Lowe Hurda.   He was a member of Halifax Baptist Church, retired from the United States Navy and later from farming.     Donald James Hurda is survived by: One Son Donald Calvin Hurda of Richmond, IN One DaughterSherri Hurda Gizara and husband mark of Chesapeake, VA Four GrandchildrenAmanda and Faith Gizara, Alexa and Nicole Hurda Eleven Brothers One Sister One Foster Daughter Mary Jane Patterson of Alma, MI   Memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.  at Halifax Baptist Church with the Rev.
