Jeanette Newton

Jeanette P. Newton of Scottsburg, VA passed away December 18, 2017.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on April 20, 1922 and was 95 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Hagood Powell and the late Anne S. Powell. She was married to the late James William Newton.   She was a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church.    Jeanette P. Newton and wife Holly of ScottsburgDean Newton and wife Jeannie of Scottsburg Twelve Grandchildren Twenty Great Grandchildren   ***Preceded in death by*** Three brothers and seven sisters   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating.
