Chandler Anderson (Andy) Nelson III

Mr. Chandler Anderson Nelson III of Nashville, TN and formerly of Virgilina, VA passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in a Nashville hospital. He was born in Angeles City, Phillipines May 9, 1983 and was 34 years old. He was the son of Chandler Anderson Nelson Jr. and Nelly L. Nelson who both survive. He was a member of First Baptist Church in South Boston, was a graduate of Hargrave Military Academy, and was an avid hunter and golfer. Survivors include: His parents Channie and Nelly Nelson of Virgilina His son Chandler A. Nelson IV of Charleston, SC His brother David Joseph Nelson and fiance Carie Lacks of South Boston His paternal grandmother Mrs. Betty Vaughan Nelson of Clarksville His maternal grandparents Bebiano S. Quitalig and Gurtrudes L. Quitalig of the Phillipines One nephew Oliver Joseph Nelson Host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Chandler A. Nelson Sr. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and other times at the home of his parents, 4231 Ramble Road, Virigilina.
