Obituary Notice Ross Burnett PoppeRoss Poppe of Nathalie, VA passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the SOVA Danville Medical Center at the age of 70.  He was born in Dover Township, NJ on August 27, 1947.He is predeceased by his parents, Frederick B. Poppe Sr. and Doris Poppe of Brick NJ as well as his wife, Michele Poppe of Nathalie, VA.He was a 28 year employee of VDOT where he served as Superintendent of The Rustburg Bridge Crew.  He was a United States Navy veteran and a lifetime member of the Brenton Woods Volunteer Fire Department in Brick NJ.  Ross Poppe is survived by five children and ten grandchildren: Son, Joseph Poppe and wife Jackie of Gladys, VA Daughter, Kathleen Ferry, husband Casey and granddaughter Isabella of Toms River, NJ Son, Richard Lapham, wife Rachel and grandchildren: Megan, Anthony, Gracie, Paige, Andrew and Dylan of Groton, CT Daughter, Renee Brinson, husband Michael and grandchildren: Kennedy, Mia and Alexander of Dunn, NC Son, Timothy Poppe of Ocean Gate, NJAlso surviving are his four siblings:  Pauline Kilhefner of Newburgh Village, ME, Wilma Poppe of Brick, NJ, Tommy Poppe of Pelzer, SC and Frederick B. Poppe Jr. of Brick NJ, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
