Jerry Gordon

Mr. Gerald Chesley "Jerry'" Gordon of Buffalo Junction, VA passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County on March 13, 1952 and was 65 years old. He was the son of the late Herbert Chesley Gordon and Rebecca Boyd Gordon and was married to Patricia Francis who survives. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, was a 1970 graduate from Halifax County Senior High School, and was a former electrical superintendent with Comfort Systems USA. Survivors include: His wife Patricia Francis Gordon of Buffalo Junction Sister Linda G. Conner of Clarksville His mother-in-law Edith S. Francis of Clover Sister-in-law Jane F. Womack and husband Gary of Halifax Brother-in-laws Tommy Francis and wife Heather of Clover Ellis Hagood Francis Jr. and wife Alma of Dinwiddie Nieces and nephews Mary Lee Francis, John Thomas Francis, Adam Francis, Jeremy Francis, Daniel Francis, Chris Conner, and Travis Conner Great nieces and nephews Abby Conner, Kameron Conner, Anthony Conner, Nathan Conner, and Gage Francis. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 PM with Rev. Ken Warfield conducting the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
