Carol Ann Smith Moorefield

Mrs. Carol Ann Smith Moorefield of Halifax, VA passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.  She was born September 21, 1938 in Cambridge, Massachusetts and was 78 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Jensen and the late Violet Jensen and was happily married for 57 years to William Frank Moorefield, Jr., who survives.   She was a member of the Winns Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Moorefield was an avid race fan and lover of animals.   Mrs. Carol Ann Moorefield is survived by: Her Husband William Frank Moorefield, Jr. of Halifax, VA Two Sons William Frank Moorefield, III and wife Judy of Martinsville, VA Michael Moorefield of Scottsburg Two Daughters Michelle Ames of South Hill, VA Lisa Davis and husband Lee of Halifax Three Grandchildren Damien Ames, William Moorefield, IV and Wesley Moorefield Four Great Grandchildren Beloved pet, Coco ***Preceded in death*** One daughter, Marilyn Sullivan   Funeral services will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
