Marion R. (Tootsie) Neal, 91, of Clover, Virginia passed away on June 6, 2017. Tootsie was born in Charlotte County Virginia on July 6, 1925. She lived most of her life in Clover and had recently been a resident of Pickersgill Retirement Community in Baltimore MD. Tootsie is survived by her children, Bill Neal and Anne Neal, her grandchildren Emily Neal, and husband Bryan Roper, and Caroline Yates. Tootsie is also survived by a sister, Mary Ann R. Satterfield, a brother, Warren J. Rutledge and sisters-in-law, Vera (Pies) Rutledge, Elsie Griles, Bettie Sue Neal and Violet Neal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie C. Neal, her parents, Isaac Dudley and Nannie Carter Rutledge, sisters, Josephine R. Cassada, Laura R. Blackstock, Hazel R. Crowe, Frances R. Seay, and brothers, Harry D. Rutledge and Isaac J. "Julie" Rutledge. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home in South Boston Virginia on Thursday, June 8 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Graveside services will be at Clover Cemetery on Friday, June 9 at 11 am.
