Louis Watkins Childrey

Louis Watkins Childrey of South Boston, VA passed away May 31, 2017.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on September 29, 1940 and was 76 years of age.  He was the son of the late James Robert Childrey and the late Louise Guthrie Childrey. He was married to Janet R. Childrey who survives.   He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a former member of Hyco Ruritan Club. He retired from Dominion Virginia Power as a lineman after many years of service.     Louis Watkins Childrey is survived by: His Wife Janet R. Powell of Scottsburg, VA Charlotte C. Johnson of Drakes Branch, VA Becky C. Allen and husband Gary of Halifax, VA   ***Preceded in death by*** One Sister Mable C. Johnson Three Brothers Lee, James and Thomas Childrey   Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev Jack Stewart and Rev. Dave Cline officiating.
