Cathy Newcomb

Cathy Carty Newcomb of Drakes Branch, VA passed away June 1, 2017.  She was born in Abington, VA on April 1, 1951 and was 66 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Carty and the late Virginia Johnson Carty. She was married to Kevin “K.T.” Newcomb who survives.   She was a member of Dan River Baptist Church and a retired LPN of Sentara Woodview.     Cathy Carty Newcomb is survived by: Her Husband Kevin “K.T.” Newcomb Two Daughters Stephanie Arnold (David Peaco) of Mechanicsville, VA Jennifer Burchette (Brad) of Madison Heights, VA One Step-daughter Paige Hamlett (Travis) of Red Oak, VA Four Grandchildren Ben and Abby Arnold of Mechanicsville, VA Elora and Andrew Burchette of Madison Heights, VA One Step-grandchild John Blaine Hamlett of Red Oak, VA   Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel.   The family will receive friends Saturday, June 10, 2017 immediately following the service at Powell Funeral Home.   For memorials please consider Halifax County Cancer Association, P.O.
