Marie Hudson Couch

Mrs. Marie Hudson Couch of Halifax, VA passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at her home.  She was born October 20, 1923 in Halifax County, VA and was 93 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Charlie Jasper Hudson and the late Jewel Cole Hudson and was married to the late Horace Bentley Couch.   She was a member of Dan River Baptist Church, V.F.W. Post 8243 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 8 Ladies Auxiliary. She was the former proprietor of the Palms Restaurant in downtown South Boston.   Mrs. Marie Hudson Couch is survived by: One Son Ronnie Lea Couch and wife Elizabeth of South Boston One brother Giles Hudson of Goose Creek, SC Numerous nieces and nephews              ***Preceded in death by*** Five Sisters Glenn Daniel, Lucille Lowery, Elsie Jones, Georgia Hudson and Theresa Smith And two brothers, James Hudson and Charlie Hudson A special thanks to her wonderful friends and caregivers, Carolyn Martin, Cookie Majors, Elda Marshall, and Florence Stewart   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
