Lewis Henry Martin

Lewis Henry Martin of Halifax, VA passed away May 17, 2017.  He was born in Halifax County on September 26, 1928 and was 88 years of age. He was the son of the late John Clem Martin and the late Louise Powell Martin. He was married Florence Kell Martin, who survives.   He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Randolph, VA.     Lewis Henry Martin is survived by: His Wife Florence Kell Martin of the home One Grandson Barry Dwight Thomas, Jr of Halifax, VA One Granddaughter Lisa Bliss and husband Steve of South Boston, VA Three Sisters Rosetta Griffin of Randolph, VAJanie Crowe and husband Booby of Chase City, VA Geraldine Virginia Martin of Lynchburg, VA One Brother Mervin Cecil Martin and wife Ann of South Boston, VA   ***Preceded in death by*** One Daughter Carrie T. Reaves Brothers John Anderson Martin, Raleigh Martin, and Julian Martin Sisters Juanita Russell and Lois Pruitt   Funeral service will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Smith officiating.
