Dudley B. Barksdale

Mr. Dudley B. Barksdale of South Boston, VA passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Sentara Woodview.  He was born August 16, 1934 in Halifax County, VA and was 83 years old.  He was the son of the late Charlie B. Barksdale and the late Susie Moore Barksdale.   He was of the Baptist faith and a retired tobacco farmer.    Mr. Dudley B. Barksdale is survived by: One Daughter Sheila B. Henderson and husband Roger of South Boston Two Grandchildren Rodney Dale Henderson of Madison Heights, VA Justin H. Henderson of South Boston Two Great Granddaughters One Great-Great Grandson One Sister Hilda B. Martin of Dallas, NC Six nieces and one nephew   ***Preceded in death by*** Three Sisters Virginia B. Clark Bertha B. Landrum Elizabeth B. Martin   Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
