Walter Robertson Coates

Mr. Walter Robertson Coates of Nathalie, VA passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at his home.  He was born September 7, 1968 in Halifax County, VA and was 48 years old.  He was the son of the late Ronald Carter Coates and the late Faye Martin Coates and was married to Beth Reese Coates, who survives.   He was the owner/operator of Coates Gun Shop.  His love of guns and teaching gun safety were his passion.   Mr. Walter Robertson Coates is survived by: His Wife Beth Reese Coates of Nathalie Two Daughters Kaitlyn Carter Coates of Halifax Brianna Faye Coates of Halifax One Son Brandon Walker Coates of Halifax Two Step-Children Blake Powell of Concord, NC Katelyn Redd of Nathalie One Brother Ronald Carter Coates, Jr. and friend Joy of Halifax One Niece Samantha Coates of Florida   Memorial services will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Cook, Rev. Ken Warfield and the Rev. Thad Decker officiating.
