Josephine Anderson Guill

Mrs. Josephine Anderson Guill of Scottsburg, VA passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Berry Hill Nursing Home.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on March 31, 1933 and was 84 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Anderson and the late Bessie Wright Anderson.   She was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle.   Mrs. Josephine Anderson Guill is survived by: One Daughter Susan Williams of Scottsburg One Step- Daughter Donna Wilborne of Scottsburg One Grandson Anthony Williams and wife Roberta of Scottsburg One Step-Granddaughter Kacey Whitt and husband Jason of South Boston Two Great Grandchildren Olivia and Isaac Williams One Step-Great Granddaughter Kendall Whitt Three Sisters Glennie Wade of Long Island, VA Janice Wright and husband Ben of Rustburg, VA Violet Lester of Altavista, VA Brother-in-law, Charles Overby of Gladys, VA Special friend, Rose Walker of South Boston A number of nieces and nephews Preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ellen Guill and three brothers and two sisters   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.  Shelton Miles officiating.  Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery.   The family will receive friends Monday, May 1, 2017 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of Susan Williams, 6119 Green Level Rd., Scottsburg, VA.   For memorials please consider the Clover Baptist Church or the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.   Online condolences may be directed to www.powellfuneralinc.com.
