Mary Wilkerson

Mary Chisholm Wilkerson of Scottsburg, VA passed away April 25, 2017.  She was born in Halifax County on October 30, 1928 and was 88 years of age. She was the daughter of the late William Chisholm and the late Mattie Cliborne Chisholm. She was married to the late Ira Robey Wilkerson for 62 years.   She was a member of Clover United Methodist Church for 61 years and a member of Clover United Methodist Women and the Porter Fellowship Class. She worked at Craddock and Terry Shoe factory and was a wonderful wife and mother.   Mary Chisholm Wilkerson is survived by: Three Daughters Patricia “Patsy” Lawson and husband David of Halifax, VA Bobbie Anderson and husband Barry of South Boston, VA Pam Perry of South Boston, VA Two Sons Ira Wilkerson, II and wife Linda of Scottsburg, VA Robin Wilkerson of Scottsburg, VA Eight Grandchildren Trey Lawson, Stephen Anderson (Missy), Stephanie Anderson Snead (Jeff), Emily Snead, Tripp Snead (Heather), Brittany Howell (Dillon), Hunter Wilkerson and Chase Wilkerson Seven Great Grandchildren Eliza, Jayden, Mackenzie, Kale, Carson, Paislee and Lola   Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Bryant and Rev. Kerry Halbert officiating. Burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.   The family will receive friends Friday, April 28, 2017 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at her home of 9204 James D.
