Mindi Dare Tysinger Yancey of Raleigh, NC passed away March 26, 2017. She was born in Fredericksburg, VA on July 6, 1974 and was 42 years of age. She was the daughter of Robert Lee “Bob” Tysinger, Jr. and Deborah Sue Triplett Tysinger. She was married to Charles Brian Yancey on August 2, 2003. Mindi was also the most loving mother to her son, Harper, but her dog, Lucy the Pug was always her first baby and was by her side until the very end. She was a 1992 graduate of Halifax County Sr. High, where she was homecoming queen, a cheerleader, and one of the best short stops any softball team ever had. She graduated from Radford University in 1996 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and was employed as a property adjuster at Auto Owners Insurance. Through her entire life, in school, at work, everywhere, Mindi’s magnetism drew everyone to her. She made everyone feel they mattered and helped anyone with anything they needed. She had a wit and charm and intelligence and beauty not often found in such great quantities in one individual, but Mindi had it all. Her loss will be felt by so many and she will be missed forever.
