Edd Earl Vaughan

Mr. Edd Earl Vaughan of Scottsburg, VA passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Berry Hill Health and Rehab.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on December 17, 1929 and was 87 years old. He was the son of the late Greer Walter Vaughan and Maude Langford Vaughan and was married to the late Inez Yates Vaughan.  He was a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries and Halifax County Public Works. Survivors include: One daughter Karen V. Hudson and husband Ricky of South Boston One son E. Dale Vaughan and wife Linda of Scottsburg One brother George Dewey Vaughan of Halifax One sister Dorothy V. Martin of Richmond Three grandchildren Tommy Hudson of Halifax Tabitha H. Cash of South Boston Candice Malone of Afton, TN Two great grandchildren Josie Cash and Gabe Cash Two step-great grandchildren Skyler Edwards and Tyler Edwards He was preceded in death by one great grandson, Colin Michael Hudson, and by 5 sisters and 4 brothers A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Halifax Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Powell Funeral Home from 7-8:30 PM and other times at the home of Karen and Ricky Hudson, 2803 North Main Street, South Boston and the home of Dale and Linda Vaughan, 1023 Easley Crossing Trail, Scottsburg.
