Richard Joseph Guth

Mr. Richard Joseph Guth of South Boston passed away January 19, 2017.  He was born in Stevens Point, WI on March 11, 1930 and was 86 years of age. He was the son of the late Joseph Richard Guth and the late Mary Piesik Guth. He was married the late Dorothy May Damone Guth of 63 years.   He retired from the United States Navy after serving 21 years, and also later retired from Civil Service.  He was a faithful and loving husband and father, who loved his gardening.   Mr. Richard Joseph Guth is survived by: One Son Joseph R. Guth Two Daughters Judy Parfitt and husband Rich Marlene Giglio and husband Tom Four Grandchildren Joey Guth Christy Guth Barry Parfitt and wife Natalie Brittiany Stefanchik and husband Tim   Memorial service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 2:00 at Powell Funeral Home.   For memorials please consider the Halifax County Humane Society, P.O.
