Margaret Childress Williams

Mrs. Margaret C. Paxton Williams of Scottsburg, VA passed away January 18, 2017.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on March 23, 1929 and was 87 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Phillip Albert Childress and the late Mary Magaline Lacks Childress. She was married to the late Flave Alexander Williams.   She was a member of Scottsburg Church of God Prophecy and was a youth leader and Sunday school teacher.   Mrs. Margaret Williams is survived by: One Son William “Billy” Paxton of Scottsburg, VA Three Step-children Patsy Owen and husband Hagood of Halifax, VA Johnnie Mack Williams and wife Carrie of Scottsburg, VA Flave “Rooster” Williams and wife Nedra of Tampa, FL Eight Grandchildren Thirteen Great Grandchildren One Sister Lola Singletary of Petersburg, VA   ***Preceded in death by*** Granddaughter Charlotte Paxton Sister Ruth Stone Brother Nathan Childress   Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Scottsburg Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Barbara Gravely  officiating.
