Thelma Long Harmon

Mrs. Thelma Long Harmon of Halifax, VA passed away January 17, 2017.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on July 10, 1936 and was 80 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Addison Adams Long and the late Lula Hall Long. She was married to the late John Milton Harmon, Jr.   She was a member of Dan River Baptist Church and a member of the choir.     Mrs. Thelma Long Harmon is survived by: One Daughter Lori H. Ammons of Halifax, VA One Son John M. Harmon, III and wife Renate of Amelia, VA Seven Grandchildren Kristi M Harmon Stephen J. Harmon Kevin S. Harmon and wife Courtney Christopher A.  Ammons Tyler J. Harmon Sara L. Satterfield and husband DarrinKimberly Lowery Wyatt Great Grandchildren Carter Cole, James Harmon, and Madison Harmon Cherished Friend Nina Long   ***Preceded in death by*** Two Brothers Leonard Long and Ray Long One Sister Bernice Long   Funeral services will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating.
