Alease Matherly

Alease Wilkerson Matherly of Wagoner, OK formerly of South Boston, VA passed away January 3, 2017.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on July 25, 1928 and was 88 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Baylous Edward Wilkerson and the late Mattie Elliott Wilkerson.   She was a member of Dan River Baptist Church. She retired from Hardees after many years of service, where she enjoyed the many friends she made while working.   Alease Wilkerson Matherly is survived by: One Daughter Donna Baker and husband William of Wagoner, OK Two Grandchildren William Baker, Jr. and wife Jane of Brown Summit, NC Kevin Baker of Wagoner, OK Three Great Grandchildren Madalyne Baker Neveah Baker Mari Jyne Baker   ***Preceded in death by*** Five Brothers and Three Sisters   Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January11, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.   The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 11, 2017 atPowell Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.   For memorials please consider a charity of your choice.
