James Leroy Medley

Mr. James Leroy Medley of Halifax, VA passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at his home.  He was born January 28, 1950 and was 66 years old.  He was the son of the late James Roy Medley and Opal I. Adams Medley and was married to Diane Loftis Medley who survives.  He was an active member of St. Johns Episcopal Church where he was a former   Sr. Warden.  He was also a member of St. Andrews Society and was a Christmas Bell Ringer with the Salvation Army.   He was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church   Mr. James Leroy Medley is survived by: His Wife Diane Loftis Medley of Halifax Two Sons Brian Medley and fiance Spencer of LaCrosse Vince Medley and wife Melanie of Halifax One Daughter Stephanie Wilmoth and husband Sam of Saxe Four sisters Nera Hunt of Mechanicsville Ruth Adams of Halifax Kathryn Blair of Hillsville Lois Crewdson of Lexington Four grandchildren Mia Medley, Gabby Medley, Ashton Moseley, and Trey Moseley Preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Perkins A memorial service will be held at St. Johns Episcopal Church on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Father Cleon Ross officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service and other times at his home.
