Emmitt William Anderson

Mr. Emmitt William Anderson of Alton, VA passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.  He was born July 2, 1967 in Halifax County, VA and was 49 years old.  He was the son of the late Archie Anderson and Betty Conner Anderson and was married to Melissa Anderson who survives.   He Attended the True Light Baptist Church.    Mr. Emmitt Anderson is survived by: His Wife Melissa Anderson of Alton One Son Steven Anderson of Creedmoor, NC Three Step-Daughters Katelyn Horton and husband Eric of South Boston Savannah Yancey of Alton Chyanne Yancey of Alton One Step-Son Dakota Yancey of Alton His Mother Betty Conner Anderson and Charles Pruitt of South Boston Two step-grandchildren, Summer and Christopher Horton Two Sisters Donna Hudson of South Boston Betty Seat and husband Christopher of Virgilina Three Brothers Michael Anderson and wife Dianne of South Boston Mark Anderson and wife Faith of South Boston Thomas Anderson and wife Melissa of Virgilina A number of nieces and nephews   Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel.   The family will receive friends one hour to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Donna Hudson, Love Shop Trailer Park, #52, South Boston, VA.   For memorials please consider a charity of your choice.
