Mr. Archer Michael Martin of Scottsburg, VA passed away on Friday, December 02, 2016 at his home. He was born in Halifax County on August 10, 1961 and was 55 years old. He was the son of the late Archer H. Martin and Virginia Francisco Schrock who survives. He was of the Presbyterian Faith and was attending Revelation Baptist Church. Survivors include: His mother and step-dad Virginia and Bill Schrock of South Boston One daughter Hollie Flora and husband Matthew of Scottsburg One granddaughter Saleen Flora of Scottsburg Three sisters Linda Clay of Thomaston, GA Janice Lewis and husband Barry of Mt. Laurel Cheryl Webb and husband Ronnie of Halifax One brother Dennis Martin and wife Dee of Clover Six nephews, two nieces, two great nephews, and one great-niece Special friend, Lisa Church of Scottsburg Aunts, Uncles, and many friends He was preceded in death by his father, Archer H. Martin, one sister, Nancy D. Martin and his brother-in-law, Clyde Clay A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kenny Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:30 until 2:30 pm and other times at the home of his mother, 739 Magnolia Drive, South Boston.
