Gladys Rebecca Smith

Mrs. Gladys Rebecca Ambrose Smith of Scottsburg passed away November 10, 2016.  She was born in Halifax County on April 29, 1928 and was 88 years old. She was the daughter of the late James Edward Ambrose and the late Mary Ella McCormick Ambrose. She was married to Willie Lee Smith for 65 years.   She was a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church, and known to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a love for gardening, family and others.     Mrs. Smith is survived by: Her Husband Willie Lee Smith of the home One Daughter Paige Fallen and husband Robert of South Boston, VA One Son Michael Smith and wife Triva of Columbia, SC One Grandchild Kaitlin Fallen of South Boston, VA One Sister Jesse Crews and husband John of Nathalie, VA   ***Preceded in death by*** Her Parents Infant Daughter-Mary Ann Smith Three Brothers Four Sisters   Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Scottsburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Smutz officiating.
