Minnie Powell

Mrs. Minnie Keatts Powell of South Boston passed away November 3, 2016.  She was born in Pittsylvania County on September 23, 1924 and was 92 years old. She was the daughter of the late Silas Hunter Keatts and the late Roxanne Oakley Keatts. She was married to the late Eddie Powell.   She was a member of Mt. Cana United Methodist Church formerly Bethel Baptist Church.     Mrs. Minnie Keatts Powell is survived by: Three Daughters Ruth Willborn and husband George of South Boston, VA Louise Rickman of Nathalie, VA Veronna Barksdale and husband Jesse Barksdale, Jr. of Alton, VA Five Grandchildren Seven Great Grandchildren   ***Preceded in death by*** One Great Grandson Jacob Talley Son-in-law Kenneth Rickman Nine Brothers and Three Sisters   Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Holmes officiating. Burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.   The family will receive friends Sunday, November 6, 2016 one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of George and Ruth Wilborn, 1011 Elm Court, South Boston, VA.   For memorials please consider Mt.
