Betty Jean High Brewer

Mrs. Betty Jean High Brewer of Scottsburg passed away October 21, 2016.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on August 22, 1941 and was 75 years old. She was the daughter of the late Daniel High and the late Georgia Allen High. She was also married to Louis Marrion Brewer “MY MAN” who survives.   She was a member of South Boston Church of God.     Mrs. Betty Jean High Brewer is survived by: Her Husband Louis M. Brewer of Scottsburg, VA Three Daughters Annette Frasier and husband Howard of Mt. Vernon, KY Penny Carey and husband Smokey of Scottsburg, VA Celeste Owens of Scottsburg, VA Four Grandchildren Dakota Carey of Richmond, VA Hunter Owens Jayden Owens Heaven-Leigh Owens all of South Boston, VASon-in-LawGeorge Owens, III One Sister-in-law Georgia Ann High   ***Preceded in death by*** Her Parents One Grandson Dusty Carey Two Brothers Albert High and Willie High   Funeral service will be held Monday, October 24, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at South Boston Church of God with the Rev. Bruce Hagy, Rev. T. Wayne Daniels and Rev. Don G. Fox officiating. Burial to follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at 6065 James D.
