Jerry Ray Franklin

Mr. Jerry Ray Franklin of Albemarle County passed away October 16, 2016.  He was born in Halifax County on July 3, 1949 and was 67 years old. He was the son of the late Henry Otis Franklin and the late Nora Lee Martin Franklin. He was also married to Verna Lou Penland Franklin who survives.   He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.     Mr. Jerry Ray Franklin is survived by: His Wife Verna Lou P. Franklin of Dyke, VA One Son James Roger Franklin and wife Heather of Crozet, VA One Step-son Allen W. Brooks and wife Linda of South Hill, VA One Step-grandson Corey Brooks One Brother Danny Franklin and wife Phyllis of Scottsburg, VA One Sister Barbara Coates and husband Lewis of Portsmouth, VA   ***Preceded in death by*** His Parents Two Brothers Ronnie and Dennis Franklin One Sister Joyce Ann Franklin   Graveside service will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev.
