Mr. Maxwell Lane “Bo” Thomason Sr. of South Boston passed away October 14, 2016 at Lynchburg Hospital. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on April 06, 1935 and was 81 years old. He was the son of the late Carroll Lee Thomason and Mary Loftis Thomason. He was the owner of Bo’s Hydraulics and Bo’s One Stop Convenience Store. He also was a founding member of the Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include: One daughter Terri Thomason Younger and husband Greg of South Boston One son M. Lane Thomason Jr. and wife Beverly of South Boston Significant Other Robin Davis of South Boston Four sisters Eleanor T. Fox of Colonial Heights Helen T. Simmons of Petersburg Carolyn T. Waltman of South Boston Jean T. Laine of Colonial Heights One brother Lowell Thomason of Petersburg Grandchildren Bridget Thomason of Alton, Max Thomason and Katie Thomason of Roxboro, NC Blake Younger and Autumn Younger of South Boston His beloved dog Smokey He was preceded in death by a son, Dell Thomason, by one sister, Edith Porter, and one brother, Bobby Thomason. A Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomason Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at his home, 1010 Clark Jordan Trail, South Boston on Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 PM.
