Edna Powell Dodd

Mrs. Edna Powell Dodd, 94, died Friday, October 7, 2016, at her home in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Dodd. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Dodd, of Greensboro, and son, Tom, wife Ann, and granddaughter Natasha Dodd, of Summerfield, NC.  Also surviving is her brother, Kenneth Powell of Halifax, VA.  Edna will be remembered for her selfless kindness and generosity, and dedication to her family and friends.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in South Boston, VA. Powell Funeral Home of South Boston is serving the family. Memorial donations may be made to Muirs Chapel United Methodist Church, 314 Muris Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC 27410 where Mrs. Dodd was a member.
