Catherine Alice Blackstock Dood

Mrs. Catherine Alice Blackstock Dood of Portsmouth, VA passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Churchland House in Portsmouth, VA. She was born on May 20, 1915 in Lynchburg, VA and was 101 years old. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Blackstock and the late Mary Alice Palmer Blackstock and was married to the late John Dood.   She was a member of the Western Branch Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA and attended the Crystal Hill Southern Baptist Church. She retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.   Mrs. Catherine Alice Blackstock Dood is survived by a number of cousins.   Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Crystal Hill Southern Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev.
