Earl Allen Watts

Mr. Earl Allen  Watts of Halifax passed away August 31, 2016.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on June 29, 1933 and was 83 years old. He was the son of the late John Richard Watts and the late Mary Bennett Watts.   He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was member of the American Legion Post 8. He also served as a former member of the Halifax County Board of Supervisors.  Mr. Watts retired from Earl Watts Construction and was the founder of the “Shop” where many dear friends will miss him.   Mr. Earl Allen Watts is survived by: Three Children and five grandchildren Donna W. Elwood and husband Kerry of Palm Harbor, FL Cindy W. McGuinness and her children Drew and Emily McGuinness of Tarpon Springs, FL Rodney L. Watts, wife Diana, their children Ashley, Megan and Sarah Watts of South Boston, VA Friend and companion Teresa Lowery and family   ***Preceded in death by*** Wife Joan Smart Watts Son Earl Allen “Buggs” Watts, Jr. His Parents One sister Leaone Hackney Three Brothers Garland, J.B. and Harry Watts   Funeral service will be held Monday, September 5, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Dan River Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating.
