Barry Allen Puckett

Mr. Barry Allen Puckett of Halifax, VA passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born in Halifax County on January 14, 1957 and was 59 years old. He was the son of the late Allie Lee Puckett and Lena Mildred Wilmouth Puckett. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was employed at JM Huber. Survivors include: One daughter Melissa P. Loftis and husband Chad of Virgilina One son Stephen Allen Puckett of Hopewell One sister Brenda P. Ford and husband Bob of South Boston One brother Bobby Puckett and wife Carolyn of Danville Five grandchildren Morgan and Colton Loftis Wesley, Chris, and Hailey Puckett Special friend and former wife Lois Anderson Puckett of Nathalie A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Mike Haskett officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7-8:30 PM and other times at his home, 1028 Weatherford Loop, Halifax.
