Mrs. Mary Frances Gornto Hunt of South Boston, VA passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at her home. She was born May 6, 1926 in Durham, NC and was 90 years old. She was the daughter of the late Leon V. Gornto and the late Mamie Harmon Gornto, and was married to the late Fowler Thornton Hunt. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and was retired Vice President of J.P. Taylor Tobacco Company and the Halifax County Department of Social Services. She was also a volunteer and the Halifax County South Boston Museum.
