Lawrence Faulkner "Larry" Conner

Mr. Lawrence Faulkner “Larry” Conner of Nathalie, VA passed away at Lynchburg General Hospital on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was born in Halifax County on July 21, 1941 and was 74 years old. He was the son of the late Faulkner Cullen Conner and Mattie Blanks Conner and was married to the late Joanne Crews Conner. He was a retired tobacco farmer and was a crop adjustor with Rain and Hail Insurance Company. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Republican Grove, a life time member of the North Halifax Volunteer Fire Department, and French Masonic Lodge #270, AF&AM where he was a Past Master. His passion was the outdoors and he truly enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Survivors include: Two daughters Beverly C. Clark and husband Fred of Nathalie Laurie C. Slagle of Nathalie, VA One son Jody Conner and wife April of Nathalie Five grandchildren Phylis Anne Lacks and husband Justin, Cullen Clark, Sam Clark, Isaac Clark, and Ethan Conner, all of Nathalie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Ann Conner A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Shelton Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends at his home, 1208 Old Concord Road, Nathalie.
