Mr. Charles Jefferson Hedderly, Jr. of South Boston passed away June 22, 2016 at Sentara Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County on February 28, 1925 and was 91 years old. He was the son of the late Charles Jefferson Hedderly, Sr. and Lillian Henderson Hedderly. He was also married to Eloise Nichols Hedderly who survives.   He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Charles was the owner and operator of Hedderly Printing Company founded in 1931. He was also a United States Army veteran and served during World War II and was a longtime member of the National Guard. During his time in service he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, the Bronze Star and the Good Conduct Metal. He was an avid train enthusiast.   Mr. Charles Jefferson Hedderly, Jr. is survived by: His Wife Eloise Nichols Hedderly of South Boston, VA One Son Charles Jefferson Hedderly, III and his wife Georgi of Springfield, VA One Daughter Suzanne B. Hedderly of Richmond, VA Special Friend Bill Miller   ***Preceded in death by*** His Parents Charles and Lillian Henderson Hedderly One Sister Mary Preston Courtney   Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
