Mrs. Hattie Louise Cassada Hart of South Boston, VA passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Sentara Woodview where she had been a resident for six years. She was born October 17, 1910 in Halifax County, VA and was 105 years old. She was the daughter of the late N.J. Cassada and the late Ella Oakes Cassada and was married to the late Major Riley Hart. Mrs. Hart grew up and attended school in the Grubby Road/Union Church community her entire life. She was a lifelong member of the Union United Methodist Church, which she attended faithfully until she became a resident of the Sentara Woodview in 2010. She was a dedicated pianist at Union and did her best to assist when called upon for over35 years. She taught the ladies Sunday school class, served the church on numerous boards and committees and faithfully served in conjunction with 28 different pastors who ministered the Union United Methodist Church. Don Bryant officiating.
