Steve Allen Martin

Mr. Steve Allen Martin of South Boston, VA passed away June 12, 2016 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born January 29, 1970 in Halifax County, VA and was 46 years old. He was the son Dorothy Kell Howerton and the late Raleigh Hagood Martin. He was a member of First Crossroads Baptist Church and worked as a dental tech at Haislip Dental Lab and was a former of Clark’s Reproduction Furniture   Mr. Steve Allen Martin is survived by: His Mother Dorothy Kell Howerton of South Boston Two sisters Nancy Howerton and husband William of Alton Charlan Glass and husband Michael , one of Steve’s closest friends, of Alton One brother Raleigh Dean Martin of Burkeville Nieces and Nephews Shane Glass, Jonathan Owen, David Wayne Howerton, Samantha Coates, and Whitney Wilkerson ** He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thornton and Carrie Kell and his paternal grandparents, John and Louise Martin.   A funeral service will be held at First Crossroads Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dan Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7-8:30 PM and other times at his home, 2041 Philpott Road, Lot 4, South Boston.
