Harvey Leon Wood

Mr. Harvey Leon Wood of South Boston, VA passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at his home. He was born September 9, 1925 in Halifax County, VA and was 90 years old. He was the son of the late Joe Henry Wood and the late Annie Rebecca Hall Wood and was married to the late Annie King Wood.   He was a member of the True Light Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Wood also retired from J.P. Stevens.   Mr. Harvey Leon Wood is survived by: Two Daughters Patty Wood Carr of Halifax Susan Wood Bomar of Nathalie Three Grandchildren Robert White, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska Justin Bomar of Nathalie Lane Carr of Halifax Three Great Grandchildren Ashley Chavers of Seattle, Washington Chase Bomar of Nathalie Kaylee Bomar of Nathalie ***Preceded in death by*** One brother, Ivy Wood One sister Eva Eades One Great Grandchild, Colby   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the True Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Thomas officiating.
