Lawrence Gwynn Bass, Sr.

Mr. Lawrence Gwynn Bass, Sr. of Halifax passed away May 5, 2016.  He was born in Halifax County on November 26, 1935 and was 80 years old. He was the son of the late Henry David Bass and the late Katherine Elizabeth Mise Bass. He was also married Mary Magdalene Irby Bass who survives.   He was a member of South Boston Church of God.     Mr. Lawrence Gwynn Bass, Sr. is survived by: One Daughter Shelia Renee B. Kirk of Halifax, VA Four Sons Lawrence Gwynn Bass, Jr. of Danville, VA Timothy Jerome Bass and wife Denise of Topeka, KS Christopher Wilson Bass and wife Wendy of Nathalie, VA David Anthony Bass and wife Sharon of Clover, VA Three Sisters Nell Lineberry of Liberty, NC Catherine Barbour of Mebane, NC Patricia Ashley of Climax, NC One Brother Henry David Bass of Liberty, NC Three Grandchildren Crystal Witzig of Carbondale, KS Rachael Bass of Clover, VA William Kirk of Halifax, VA   ***Preceded in death by*** His Parents Henry David and Katherine E. Bass Four brothers and one sister   Funeral service will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at South Boston Church of God with the Rev. Don Fox officiating.
